Regarding NBRC and credentials, all practitioners in North Carolina should be aware;
Currently lapsed NBRC credentials will not affect a RCP’s license in that the person can still practice as a RCP. However, the individual may not use the credentials or hold themselves out as being credentialed unless they re-credential with the NBRC.
Use of a credential or holding oneself out as being credentialed after the credential is lapsed is a federal trademark violation and may subject the individual to enforcement by the NBRC and sanction by the NCRCB.
